Australia’s Biggest Glamazon has done it again! Performing the opening night of 24 national shows, at the very theatre Taylor Swift performed in on her first Australian visit (Factory Theatre, Marrickville,) Alright Hey’s newest national tour “Bring Back Glamour,” was nothing short of sensational. From the moment he graced the stage, the audience was captivated by his infectious energy, razor sharp wit, and uniquely Australian sense of humour.

Every moment was packed with clever observations and hilarious stories that had the crowd in stitches. The anticipation in the theatre was palpable as fans from all walks of life gathered to witness the comedic phenomenon. Known for his vibrant online presence and bold comedic persona, he brought that same charisma and relatable charm to his live performance.

The show began with Alright Hey strutting onto the stage in a gorgeous black and teal bedazzled gown, created by Sydney's finest, Diana Whole! It channelled pure old Hollywood glamour. The shimmering ensemble caught the light with every step, immediately setting a tone of opulence and theatricality. He worked the stage with confidence and flair, instantly commanding the audience’s attention and making a fabulous entrance worthy of a true star. The choice of gown was not just a fashion statement: it was a celebration of camp, confidence, and a joyful embrace of the spotlight, perfectly embodying the show's spirit.

What makes Alright Hey such a standout performer is his masterful blend of self-deprecating humour and sharp social commentary. The show was deeply rooted in Australian humour: sharp, honest, and unafraid to tackle the big issues. Alright Hey shed light on some of the darkest topics in current times, bringing them into the open and weaving in new light and laughter. He delivered every line with his signature cheekiness. His improvisational skills shone during interactions with the audience, turning spontaneous moments into some of the night’s biggest laughs: Centrelink (IYKYK)

One of the most memorable elements of the night was Alright Hey’s truly unique storytelling ability. He has a gift for drawing the audience into his world, weaving together moments of outrageous humour. The story of the night, revolving around the simple yet powerful phrase, "But we are gay men," became an instant classic that we will all be telling our friends at work the next day.

As the final applause thundered through the theatre, it was clear that "Bring Back Glamour" is not only a celebration of comedy, but of community. The show was beyond hilarious. My cheeks haven’t stopped hurting from laughing, and it was clear I wasn’t alone. The entire audience roared with laughter throughout the night, and by the end, the crowd erupted into a standing ovation that shook the room.

Alright Hey’s opening night was a triumphant, joy filled spectacle that set an exceptionally high bar for the rest of the tour. This is a show not to be missed. An unforgettable night with one of Australia’s brightest comedic stars. This was a triumphant return to the stage, and if the rest of the tour is anything like opening night, audiences across the country are in for a treat. The venue has hosted Taylor Swift… I see a very bright future for Mr Alright Hey if that is anything to go by.
