Dua Lipa has released her first ever tour film for the Radical Optimism Tour, titled "Dua Lipa Live in Mexico." Fans were excited for this release, especially after the disappointment when her previous tour film for the Future Nostalgia Tour was scrapped. The film premiered on YouTube rather than on traditional streaming platforms. This decision was influenced by disagreements with the political stances of some streaming corporations. By choosing YouTube, Lipa ensured that the film would be accessible to fans worldwide, regardless of their location or subscription status. Savvy queen!

The two hour film brilliantly captures the energy and excitement of the Radical Optimism Tour's final stop in Mexico City, marking the culmination of an extraordinary journey across 92 shows. The concert footage immerses viewers in the spectacle, with Lipa delivering the show to a sold out stadium. Every detail, from the choreography to visual effects, is brought to life with high-definition cinematography, allowing fans to feel as though they are right there in the crowd.

Watching the film was an incredible experience that allowed me to relive the magic of the Radical Optimism Tour all over again. Having had the privilege of attending the show twice in person, I was immediately transported back to those unforgettable nights. The fashion throughout this leg of the tour was nothing short of spectacular. From the very first moment Dua stepped on stage, her opening look, a gorgeous chrome silver bodysuit paired with matching boots set the tone for a night dedicated to pure popstar glamour. Each costume change was thoughtfully curated, reflecting the music's mood and the essence of the tour.

Dua did a surprise song each night on the tour, keeping fans around the globe excited. She would sing a song by an artist from the country she was in and sometimes bring out special guests. For the tour film, Mexico City was treated to “Oye Mi Amor” with Fher de Mana. The documentary also highlights the connection between Lipa and her fans, especially the passionate Mexican audience. Lipa incorporated a lot of fan interaction into the tour, and it was undeniably a really special moment to watch, as it brought her down from pop star status to a human being.

While I could talk about every song and how good it was, I wanted to shout out specifically "Houdini." The single that launched the Radical Optimism campaign and ended the respective tour. Dua disappeared after an incredible two hour show in a burst of fireworks, after advising, "I'm Dua Lipa, Catch Me or I go, Houdini." And that is exactly what we did, we caught her, and now she has Houdini'd. We are all waiting patiently for her to re-emerge into the pop music scene.

"Dua Lipa Live in Mexico" celebrates the music and spectacle of the Radical Optimism Tour. It is a testament to the power of live music and the connection between artist and audience. It captures a moment in Dua’s career that feels both triumphant and bittersweet, as it really is the end of an era (pun intended.) The anticipation for Dua’s next electrifying era/tour is already building, because when Dua Lipa takes the stage again, she’s bound to have us all dancing the night away, again!
